Zach Ferguson
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

I am a philosophy PhD candidate at UNC, and this fall, I was selected as the Tom Regan Visiting Research Fellow at North Carolina State University. Before moving to Chapel Hill, I earned an M.A. in philosophy from the University of WisconsinMilwaukee and a B.A. from Vanderbilt University, where I studied philosophy, Spanish, and Portuguese. I have broad interests in ethics and normative philosophy generally. My dissertation is about animal ethics and moral character, and my work has been published in journals such as Analysis; Politics, Philosophy & Economics; and American Journal of Bioethics Empirical. When I am not doing philosophy, I enjoy making music, reading fiction, and learning languages.
